    Welcome to Ponta Delgada! As you arrive at the airport, your guide will be waiting to transfer you to Senhora da Rosa Tradition and Nature Hotel. On arrival, enjoy a leisurely evening to settle in and unwind.

    Sete Cidades

    Today you'll start your Azores adventures with a full-day tour beginning with an E-Bike Experience to see Sete Cidades. The tour will circle the volcanic caldera on slightly uneven but primarily flat terrain. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings as you pedal along at a gentle pace.

    Recharge your energy levels with lunch at a local restaurant before setting off for this afternoon's canoeing activity. Once in your canoe, follow your guide along the shoreline as you journey towards Ponte dos Regos, where you'll paddle from the blue lagoon to the green lagoon under the bridge's arches, taking in the serenity of this special location.

    Return to your accommodation this afternoon to enjoy a well-deserved restful evening and dinner.

    Whale watching

    After an early breakfast, around 8:15 am, your guide will bring you to the Picos de Aventura office, where your whale and dolphin watching tour begins. Today you'll have the opportunity to witness these majestic creatures in their natural habitat, surrounded by the boundless beauty of the Azores.

    Skilled skippers and biologists will guide you on this trip, blending fun, discovery, and scientific facts for the perfect family experience. The island's south coast serves as the perfect vantage point, allowing you to spot wildlife with the help of strategically placed lookouts. Throughout the year, the Azores offer the chance to observe approximately 27 species of whales and dolphins, making this an unparalleled wildlife spectacle.

    After the experience, you'll be able to enjoy lunch and a free afternoon to spend as you wish.

    Day 4
    Terceira

    Depending on your flight time, you'll be transferred from your accommodation to the airport for your flight to Terceira, a destination brimming with historical significance and cultural splendor. Upon arrival, your guide will be waiting to show you the city of Terceira.

    Begin at Angra do Heroísmo, a town steeped in maritime history and Portuguese heritage. Throughout the 16th to 18th centuries, Angra stood as a strategic and vital port for ships during the era of Portuguese maritime discoveries. Angra's history spans five centuries and proudly preserves an immense treasure trove of culture, traditions, and architectural wonders. In 1983, UNESCO recognized its significance by classifying Angra as a World Heritage City.

    As you stroll through its historic streets, you'll have the chance to taste the delightful Queijada da Dona Amélia, a local pastry named in honor of Queen Amélia, who was gifted these sweets during her first royal visit to the island in 1901.

    Your overnight stay at Pousada de São Sebastião, close to the city center, will allow you to relax for the evening or further see Angra at your leisure.

    Terceira

    Today, take a deep dive into the landscapes and heritage of Terceira Island with a guided tour by locals eager to share over five centuries of history and island living.

    Your journey begins with morning views from the Serra do Cume viewpoint, where you can see a patchwork of fields that paint a unique landscape. On arrival at the north coast, discover how volcanoes and the sea have shaped this coastline.

    Walk through the island's second-largest city, Praia da Vitória, before having lunch at a local restaurant (included).

    Continuing to the island's interior, see the fields where wild cattle roam freely, and see how locals have preserved and nurtured the environment over the centuries.

    Your next stop is Pico da Bagacina, a volcano in the island's center. Walk along the trail to reach Lagoa do Negro, where one of the most recent eruptions on Terceira Island occurred. This lake is now surrounded by pastures, cryptomeria forests, and other endemic vegetation, showcasing the island's incredible biodiversity.

    Today you'll say goodbye to Terceira as you transfer to Terra Nostra Hotel in Ponta Delgada.

    Furnas

    Today begins with a free morning to relax and prepare for this afternoon's volcanic experience. At approximately 1 pm, venture into the heart of the Furnas Valley with your guide, to visit the Terra Nostra Park (entrance included).

    After a stroll through the park, take a moment to rejuvenate your body and soul in the soothing thermal waters, surrounded by the lush landscapes that characterize the Furnas region.

    Later this afternoon, you'll have a chance to visit the lagoon and wander through the heart of the parish to learn what life is like living alongside a volcano. As you venture through the village, you'll encounter the rich mineral waters that have become a hallmark of Furnas.

    For dinner, enjoy an authentic meal at a local restaurant before returning to your accommodation in Ponta Delgada.
