    Itinerary

    1. Introduction

      Embark on an unforgettable journey through China’s most iconic destinations, blending rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and modern marvels. From the historic wonders of Beijing and Xi’an to the stunning karst scenery of Guilin, the majestic Yangtze River, and the vibrant metropolis of Shanghai, this 13-day adventure offers an immersive experience of China’s diverse landscapes and deep-rooted traditions. Enjoy guided tours of UNESCO World Heritage sites, scenic river cruises, high-speed train rides, and luxurious accommodations—all designed to provide an enriching and seamless travel experience.

    1. Day 1 Arrival Beijing

      Upon arriving at Beijing Capital Airport, you will be greeted by our local tour guide and transferred to check in your hotel.

      Free at leisure for rest of the day to get over the jet lag.

    2. Day 2 Beijing (B/L)

      Your guide will meet you at your hotel lobby. You will reach the Tian’anmen Square first. Walk through the square and visit the Forbidden City. Hike to Jingshan Park to enjoy a nice panoramic view of the Forbidden City at the top of Coal Hill.

      After Chinese lunch, drive to Back Lakes (Houhai), walk into Nanluoguxiang Alley—the most famous Hutong district in Beijing and a mix of history, fashion, and souvenir boutiques. Then we will have a stop at a tea house.


      Drive back to your hotel, feel free to ask your guide for suggestions on evening activities, such as the night show and places to have Peking duck dinner.

    3. Day 3 Beijing (B/L)

      In the morning, you will visit the Temple of Heaven, the masterpiece of ancient times and China's existing largest structure for sacrifice to heaven. Have a stop at a jade carving factory en route.

      Then continue to visit the Great Wall today. Drive to Mutianyu Great Wall, you can choose to hike on the Great Wall, or take a cable car up and roam around. A Chinese lunch is arranged nearby.

      Drive back to downtown and have a photo stop outside of the Bird Nest and Water Cube before driving back to your hotel.

    4. Day 4 Beijing - Xian by high-speed train (B/L)

      Leisurely pack up and check out. Drive to visit the Summer Palace, the existing largest, best-preserved imperial garden in China. Boat ride on Kunming Lake is included. After the Chinese lunch nearby, take a high-speed train to Xian. Transfer service to Xian hotel with local guide service.

    5. Day 5 Xian (B/L)


      In the morning, drive to visit the world wonder—Qin Terracotta Warriors, a must-visit place. Try to learn how a pottery figurine is worked out at a pottery workshop. A Chinese lunch will be arranged nearby.


      Visit the Bell Tower afterwards, the largest bell tower in structure and shape and the best-preserved one in China. Then have a visit at Gao's Courtyard, where you can appreciate ancient residences and explore local culture of paper-cutting and shadow puppetry. Continue to walk around Muslim Quarter and enjoy your shopping time there. Drive back to the hotel.

    6. Day 6 Xian - Guilin by plane (B/L)

      Pack up and check out, have a leisure tour to Ancient City Wall, and Wild Goose Pagoda and north square. After lunch, drive to Xian airport, on the way to visit the Hanyang Mausoleum, the largest museum with the largest floor space in China. Fly to Guilin. Transfer service to Guilin hotel with local guide service.

    7. Day 7 Guilin - Yangshuo (B/L)


      Enjoy a Li River Cruise with a buffet lunch on board. Deluxe cruise will be arranged with decent facility and good service. Savor the fairy-tale scenery while cruising down the meandering river to Yangshuo. You can go on the sundeck or just sit and appreciate the picturesque scenery from the window.


      After disembarking, walk through the West Street or take a sightseeing car to the parking lot. Take a bicycle ride at Yulong River area, appreciate the clear river with countless hills surrounded and the beauty of Yangshuo countryside. 


      Drive back to Guilin hotel for overnight in the late afternoon.

    8. Day 8 Guilin - Chongqing by high-speed train (B/L)

      ­ 

      In the morning, visit Reed Flute Cave, a famous scenic spot offering a magic fairyland of stalactites and stalagmites in fantastic shapes and colors. After that, drive to Elephant Trunk Hill, the badge of Guilin city.


      The hill looks exactly like a huge elephant stretching its trunk to drink water from the Li River.

      After lunch, take a high-speed train to Chongqing. Pick up and transfer to Chaotianmen Wharf and check-in at the Victoria cruise, which sets sail from Chongqing at 9:00 p.m.

    9. Day 9 Yangtze River Cruise (B/L/D)

       

      Cruise with shore excursions to Fengdu (optional) and Shibaozhai; to White Emperor City (optional), sailing through Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge, and a Goddess Stream boating trip.


      Notes:

      The cruise shore excursion and docks are subject to arrangements which might be influenced by seasons, water levels, cruise canals, and climates and are subject to change without prior notice. During the cruise, you will receive the schedule from the boat detailing the daily program.


      Service fee to the river guide and cruise crew on board is RMB 150 per passenger, which is not included in the fare.

      Other personal expenses such as internet service, laundry, drinks, and bar charges are not included.

    10. Day 10 Yangtze River Cruise (B/L/D)

      Cruise with shore excursions to Fengdu (optional) and Shibaozhai; to White Emperor City (optional), sailing through Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge, and a Goddess Stream boating trip.

    11. Day 11 Yichang - Shanghai by high-speed train (B)

      Disembark at Maoping cruise terminal, shore excursion to Three Gorges Dam Site; transfer to the passenger center in downtown Yichang. Take a high-speed train to Shanghai. Your Shanghai tour guide will wait for you at the train station and help you transfer to the hotel.

    12. Day 12 Shanghai (B/L)

      ­ 

      Explore Old Shanghai by walking into the Shikumen. Enjoy an orientation walk on the Bund, a foreign trade center from the late 19th century. Then continue a visit to Yuyuan Garden, a traditional Chinese garden in Shanghai downtown. Lunch time at a local Chinese restaurant en route.


      In the afternoon, visit Jade Buddha Temple. A silk museum is arranged before reaching the Lujiazui CBD new area, where you can enjoy your leisure time on the Riverside Promenade. Visit Shanghai Tower, the city skyline and Shanghai’s tallest building. Enjoy a panoramic view of the city.


      Back to the hotel. We highly recommend you watch the ERA Acrobatic Show, which is one of the most popular evening entertainments in Shanghai.

    13. Day 13 Departure Shanghai (B)

      ­ 

      Free day at leisure and be transferred to the airport for your return flight. We can arrange the Maglev train ride to Pudong airport if you are interested, or we will drive you directly to the airport.
