Day 1 Arrival at Colombo

Day 2 At Colombo
Today after breakfast proceed to guided sightseeing tour to visit a rural village amid the paddy fields for a tuk-tuk ride and a visit to a traditional village home. Watch the traditional production of cinnamon and oil and the ancient art of rubber tapping. Enjoy an authentic Sri Lankan lunch followed by a panoramic city tour of Colombo, absorbing the city’s unique mix of Portuguese, Dutch, English and Indian influences. Day 3 Colombo - Dambulla (160 Kms / 3.30 Hrs)

Day 4 Dambulla - Anuradhapura - Mihintale (90 Kms / 1.30 Hrs)
Today morning after breakfast proceed to visit Dambulla cave temples containing the largest area of paintings found in the world and over 150 images of the Buddha. The largest is a colossal figure that spans 14 metres.
Later continue your trip to Anuradhapura, it was the first capital and undoubtedly the grandest city of the ancient Ceylon. It is the home of two World Heritage Sites. Many places of historical and archaeological interest could be visited. ‘Samadhi’ Buddha statue (4th century AD) is one of the most famous statues, inaugurating the Buddha in a state of ‘Samadhi’ or deep meditation. Isurumuniya rock temple (3rd century B.C) is famous for its rock carvings.
Then continue to your last sightseeing trip to Mihintale, the birthplace of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. Rest of the day free for your own leisure activities.

Day 5 Mihintale - Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa (130 Kms / 2.30 Hrs)
Today after breakfast and check out from hotel leave for climb the 5th-century Sigiriya rock fortress. Sigiriya is famous for its toadstool of golden-hued granite, protruding into the searing blue sky from a hot, flat wilderness of scrub-land, which is transformed in the rainy season to a water garden. Later continue your drive to the ancient landmarks in Polonnaruwa. There are plenty of temples, tombs and stupas to discover, as well as the spectacular Quadrangle. Day 6 Polonnaruwa - Kandy (140 Kms / 3 Hrs)
Today after breakfast and checkout from hotel later drive to Kandy, home to Asia’s most impressive and beautiful hill station of Kandy. Upon reaching check-in to your hotel. In the evening, take time to watch a traditional Kandyan dance performance.

Day 7 At Kandy
Today after breakfast enjoy a full day at leisure to relax and explore the city of Kandy. Late afternoon saunter around the Kandy Lake, the atmosphere alone will intrigue you to spend a few moments here. This evening we visit the Temple of Tooth, with its guardian elephants is a deeply significant Buddhist site that contains a tooth of Buddha collected from his funeral pyre and this draws thousands of pilgrims from across the world. This evening enjoy a typical Sri Lankan Cultural Performance.

Day 8 Kandy - Nuwara Eliya (By Train)
Today morning after breakfast and check out from hotel later proceed to board the train for Nuwara Eliya. Nestled even deeper into tea plantation country, Nuwara Eliya sits at an elevation of 1800 metres, making it one of the coolest regions in Sri Lanka. The cool clime made it a favourite with the English and the Scots during the colonial-era, and remnants of this past can be seen in the sculpted gardens and manor homes that still decorate the city. You’ll have free time here on arrival, Upon arrival at Nuwara Eliya drive to your hotel for check-in to your hotel and breath in the mountain air.

Day 9 Nuwara Eliya - Horton Plains (30 Kms / 1.30 Hrs) - Nuwara Eliya

Today early in the morning proceed to enjoy your wildlife safari in Yala National Park to spot the leopards that lounge in trees or stalk through the brush, crocodiles that patrol the river or wild elephants that graze across the savanna.
