Introduction
Located 400km north of the Arctic Circle at 69˚N, the small city of Tromsø bills itself as Norway's gateway to
the Arctic, where you can find a lot more than just a hint of polar atmosphere. Tromsø is the city of
adventures and adventurers.
You will experience the Arctic at its best, spending two nights in Tromsø and two nights in Sommarøy Island.
Enjoy amazing landscapes and unforgettable activities. Husky safari and Northern Lights tour are already

Day 1 WELCOME TO TROMSØ
Arrival to Tromsø, the Arctic Capital!
Located at 69 degrees north - Tromsø is 320 km above the Arctic
Circle. Visitors are amazed when they discover that this city has
hotels with international standard, lively cafes, world class seafood
restaurants, an active cultural life, an exciting nightlife, museums
and captivating art galleries.
Find your way to your hotel (private transfer can be booked in
advance). Meet and greet in the hotel lobby with your tour escort
(meeting time, depending on the time of your arrival at 18:00 or
next day at the breakfast at 08:00).

Day 2 REINDEER SAFARI & SOMMARØY ISLAND
Breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast, enjoy an exciting 4 hrs reindeer safari in scenic
surroundings. The reindeer sleigh is the oldest form of
transportation in the north and an inherent part of Sami culture.
You will be in pairs by sled, with one sled for each reindeer. People
of all ages can participate in this easy adventure. This cultural
experience will also teach you about lasso throwing, which is
always the Sami way of catching their reindeer to herd them
together before tagging or slaughter. In addition, you will get to
know Sami culture and history, and experience the emotional
Lappish ancestral joik song. To conclude this excursion, you will be
served a hot meal.
In the afternoon, you will drive to Sommarøy Island, where pure
Arctic atmosphere is waiting for you.

Day 3 SOMMARØY VILLAGE PANORAMIC TOUR & ARCTIC LIGHTS CAMPFIRE
Breakfast at the hotel.
You start the day with a short panoramic walk of Sommarøy. With
its 300 inhabitants, Sommarøy is one of the busiest fishing villages in
the county of Troms region. The views from Sommarøy Island are
impressive and together with your tour leader you will get to know
more about the history and fishing traditions of the village.
Rest of the morning and afternoon is at leisure.
We offer a 1-hour Sea Eagle Safari by RIB boat as optional activity
during your free time. The archipelago of Sommarøy hosts a large
colony of sea eagles year-round. On this guided tour we take you out
in our RIB or boat depending on group size and search the islands and
cliffs for this majestic bird. Alternatively, enjoy complimentary sauna
at the hotel.
After dinner, it will be time for another amazing activity included in
your package – the Arctic Lights Campfire Tour. The area around
Sommarøy is a great spot to search for the Northern Lights because
of the desolate beaches free from light pollution. With the sound of
arctic waves crashing ashore, you are guaranteed a spectacular
evening, especially if the sky is clear and the auroras show
themselves. You will sit around the campfire, while waiting for the
phenomenon to appear. During this time, small snack will be
prepared over the fire and you can also enjoy a cup of hot drink to
warm you up.

Day 4 POLAR MUSEUM & NORTHEN LIGHT CRUISE
Breakfast at the hotel.
In the morning, transfer back to Tromsø. Upon arrival, we offer husky
safari as optional activity. This dog sledding adventure is a real
northern experience. You will visit a kennel outside of the city
surrounded by mighty mountains. Here you will receive all the
equipment and instructions that you need, to handle the dogs and
sleds properly. After the sledding, you will return to the camp, where
hot soup and drinks will be served.
In the afternoon, you will participate on a walking tour with the tour
leader through which you will visit the key sight of the city. During this
tour, you will enter the Polar Museum – an attraction that is dedicated
to present the lives of Arctic trappers and explorers.
In the evening, participate on an unforgettable Northern Lights
Cruise. This adventure takes you into the total darkness of the Arctic
fjords and Polar nights. You depart from Tromsø and set sail for the
direction where the clearest weather conditions for the night has been
predicted. This can be north towards the areas of Kvaløyvågen or
south to Ramfjorden or west along the southern part of Kvaløya
Island. The captain and crew will work together and keep their eyes
out for clear skies or a gap in the cloud layer. While you wait for the
Northern Lights to appear, you can stay warm and comfortable in our
heated lounges. Grab a beverage from the cafe and a snack.

Day 5 FAREWELL
Breakfast in the hotel.
Morning at leisure. Take a last stroll around the city or hurry to buy
some last-minute souvenirs.
Transfer on your own to the airport (private transfer can be
booked in advance).
