Chengdu to Chongqing Discovery Tour 8D

Arriving in Chengdu, you will be greeted by the local guide at the airport or railway station. You take the private vehicle to the reserved hotel. With the assistance of the guide, check in the hotel and free at leisure for the rest of the day.

In the early morning, pick up from your hotel and transfer to visit Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding which is about 10 km from Chengdu downtown. Have a Chinese lunch with traditional Hotpot at local restaurant.

In the afternoon, visit Renmin Park and it is the paradise for local people who addict to dancing, playing mahjong, drinking teas. We will arrange tea break in the park and mahjong lesson if you are interested in. After that enjoy shopping time at Jinli Old Street.  Drop off at your hotel in the downtown of Chengdu.

Accommodation: In Mt. Emei area

In the morning after breakfast, have a 1.5 hours driving to Mt. Leshan - has the tallest stone Buddha statue in the world. Just take a cruise (about 30 min) to have an overview of this mountain and the Leshan Giant Buddha.

After that, continue to have a 1 hour driving to Mt. Emei area. After that, check in your hotel and free of the rest time.

Accommodation: In Chengdu

Today you will have a half day tour to do sightseeing in Mt. Emei including a cable car to the Golden Summit. After some stroll on the mountain, get down the mountain then drive back to Chengdu (165 km). Have a rest in hotel in Chengdu or feel free of the rest time.

Accommodation: In Chongqing

Arrive in Chongqing, you will be greeted at the train station by your tour guide and start to your Chongqing city tour.

First we will drive to visit the Liziba Station , which is a famous subway station in Chongqing, China, whose view of subway crossing the building is popular on the Internet. Then we will go to visit Ancient Town of Ciqikou - the ancient Chongqing city. We will try the Yangtze River Ropeway, which has become a representative project of the mountain city. Visit Hong Ya Cave at the end. Tour ends by drop you off hotel in Chongqing.

Accommodation: In Wulong

After breakfast in the morning, your tour guide will escort you to Wulong (220km, about 3.5 hrs driving). After enjoy a local lunch in Wulong County, you will visit the Three Natural Bridges (also famous for the Tainkeng Karst Topography, including scenic shuttle bus and trolley bus) Scenic Area. Then continue to explore the Longshuixia Fissure Gorge, which is formed by the mountain building movement tens of thousands of years ago, about 5 kilometers long, and the depth of the valley ranges from 200 meters to 500 meters, is a typical karst geological wonder with steep walls and deep gorge, where you can feel the fun of underground travel. After dinner, drive you to the hotel in Wulong for the rest.

In the morning, you will take a driving to Dazu (60km) to visit the world-famous Dazu Rock Carvings as your extended tour of Chongqing which has made a significant contribution to artistic expression in China.

Say goodbye to Chongqing, you will be transferred to airport or train station for  your flight/train to next destination.
