Here, hand-picked restaurants run by second and third-generation families offer a taste of authentic Malaysian dishes. Indulge in the signature dessert, Cendol, a refreshing treat of shaved ice, pandan jelly, coconut milk, and palm sugar.

Explore Chinatown, starting at Pasar Seni MRT Station, and visit Sri Maha Temple, the city's main Hindu temple. Continue to a local restaurant for roti canai, an Indian-influenced flatbread served with curry and soup. Sample tender beef meatballs in hot soup at a 70-year-old restaurant.
