Introduction

Experience the best of China on this 6-day journey through Beijing and Shanghai. Walk through history at the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, and the Great Wall. Explore Beijing’s charming hutongs by rickshaw and admire the beauty of the Summer Palace. Then, ride a high-speed train to Shanghai, where you’ll visit Yuyuan Garden, stroll along the Bund, and discover the city’s vibrant markets. A perfect blend of ancient wonders and modern marvels awaits!

Day 1 Arrival Beijing

Upon arriving at Beijing Capital Airport, you will be greeted by our local tour guide and transferred to check in your hotel.

Free at leisure for rest of the day to get over the jet lag.

Day 2 Beijing (B/L)

Your guide will meet you at your hotel lobby. You will reach the Tian’anmen Square first. Walk through the square and visit the Forbidden City.

Hike to Jingshan Park to enjoy a nice panoramic view of the Forbidden City at the top of Coal Hill. After Chinese lunch, drive to visit Temple of Heaven.

Shopping time at Panjiayuan Antique Market and tea store. Then drive back to your hotel, en route you can plan for the night show or Peking duck dinner with your guide and ask for suggestions.
Day 3 Beijing (B/L)

Visit the Great Wall today. Drive to Mutianyu Great Wall, you can choose to hike on the Great Wall, or take cable car up and roam around. A Chinese lunch is arranged at a local restaurant. Drive back to downtown and have a stop at a jade carving factory en route. Have a photo stop outside of the Bird Nest and Water Cube before driving back to your hotel.
Day 4 Beijing - Shanghai by High Speed Train (B/L)

Leisurely pack up and check out. First drive to Drum Tower area for taking a relaxing Hutong Tour by rickshaw, which is the way to know the Beijing local lifestyle.

Then visit Summer Palace, the existing largest, best-preserved imperial garden in China. Boat ride on Kunming Lake is included.

After the Chinese lunch nearby, take high speed train to Shanghai. Transfer service to Shanghai hotel with local guide service.
Day 5 Shanghai (B/L)

In the morning, visit Yuyuan Garden, a traditional Chinese garden in city downtown, shopping time at Shanghai Old Street and Nanjing Road which is the earliest commercial street in Shanghai, you could look for some special souvenirs and silk product there. After that, enjoy a leisure walk along the Bund. Lunch time at a local Chinese restaurant en route. Then continue a visit to Jade Buddha Temple and the exterior of Oriental Pearl TV Tower, while walking on the Riverside Promenade. Drive back to hotel at the end.
Day 6 Departure Shanghai (B)

Free day at leisure and be transferred to airport for return flight. We can arrange the Maglev train ride to Pudong airport if you are interested in, or we will drive you directly to the airport.
